TODAY IS YOM KIPPUR – THE DAY OF ATONEMENT!

Beginning at sundown last night, September 17, 2010, and continuing throughout today until sundown, September 18, 2010, is the most sacred day of the Jewish religious calendar – the 10th day of Tishri, the 7th month.

The instruction is found in Leviticus 23:26-32. It comes from the LORD GOD of Israel Himself (verse 26). It is called a “holy convocation” and is treated as a Shabat (Sabbath Day) – Interestingly, it falls on the day of the weekly Sabbath (Saturday). We are told to “afflict our souls” (fasting) – the only day of the year in which the Bible commands a fast for the Jewish people. No manual labor is to be done on this day. To not participate in the fast of this day brings severe consequences (“shall be cut off from among his people”). Verse 30 says “will I destroy from among his people.”

The details of what happened on this Day of Atonement when the Tabernacle was set up in the wilderness and also when the Jewish Temple was on the Temple Mount are found in Leviticus 16. The High Priest (and only the High Priest!) took two goats on that day. On the head of one goat (called the “azazel”) he confessed all the sins of the people and released that goat into the wilderness and no one was to go after it. The other goat was killed and the blood taken on this one day into the HOLY of HOLIES where the Ark of the Covenant was located. The golden lid of the Ark was called “the Mercy Seat” and the High Priest would place the goat’s blood on it. It refers to the act of propitiation (satisfying the wrath of God) and the entire nation was propitiated.

Does this mean that every single Jew was redeemed? NO! During the year, an individual was to bring his own sacrifice for his sin.

The New Testament pictures the two goats has represented the atonement of the Messiah – Hebrews 13:12 speaks of our Lord Yeshua shedding His own blood to sanctify us, and that He “suffered without (outside) the gate.” The goat’s blood that was put on the Mercy Seat is also picturing the death of the Messiah for our sins – Atonement was made and paid for by His precious blood. Faith in the Messiah’s work of redemption will bring salvation to any person’s heart who believes what Yeshua has done for us. May the Lord of glory open your heart today to the truth of the Messiah’s atonement for our sin!

WILDERS ON THE MOSQUE IN NEW Y0RK!

May I ask you to be silent for ten seconds? Just be silent and listen. Ten seconds. And listen… What we hear are the sounds of life in the greatest city on earth. No place in the world, no place in human history, is as richly varied and vibrant and dynamic as New York City. You hear the cars, you hear the people, you hear them rushing to their various destinations, you hear the sounds of business and of pleasure, you hear the cheers, you hear the cries, the buzzing sounds of human activity. And that is how it should be. Always.

Now close your eyes – I know it’s a beautiful day, but close your eyes. I have been told that this day nine years ago was just such a beautiful day — and remember, or try to remember, or try to imagine the sounds which were heard here on this spot under this same blue sky exactly nine years ago. The sound of shock, the sound of destruction, the sound of panic, the sound of pain, the sound of terror.

Did New York deserve this? Did America deserve this? Did the West deserve this? What, my friends, would you say to people who argue that New York, that America, that the West had itself to blame for those horrible sounds? There are people in this city who argue this. And they are angry because we are gathered here today to commemorate, to make a stand, to draw the line.

My friends, I have come from the other side of the Atlantic to share your grief for those who died here nine years ago. I have not forgotten how I felt that day. The scenes are imprinted on my soul, as they are on yours. But our hearts were not broken in the same way as the hearts of the relatives and friends of those who lost their lives here. Many relatives of the victims are here in our midst today. I wish to take this opportunity to express my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to them and to all of the people of New York and America.

Humbly, I stand here before you as a Dutchman and a European. I, too, however, cannot forget. How can anyone forget? Let me remind you of the words from Darryl Worley’s 9/11 song.

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell

Worley’s response is our response: No, we will NEVER forget. We are here today because we have not forgotten all the loved ones that were lost and those left to carry on. And neither has the world. When the forces of Jihad attacked New York, they attacked the world.

Among those lost were people from 55 nations, people of every religion and every persuasion. No place on earth had a more multi-ethnic, multi-racial, and multi-lingual workforce than New York’s proud towers. That is exactly why they were targeted. They constituted an insult to those who hold that there can be no peaceful cooperation among people and nations without submission to Sharia; to those who wish to impose the legal system of Islam on the rest of us. But New York and Sharia are incompatible.

New York stands for freedom, openness and tolerance. New York’s Mayor recently said that New York is “rooted in Dutch tolerance”. Those are true words. New York is not intolerant. How can it be? New York is open to the world. Suppose New York were intolerant. Suppose it only allowed people of one persuasion within its walls. Then it would be like Mecca, a city without freedom. Whatever your religion, persuasion or gender is, in New York you will find a home. In Mecca, if your religion isn’t Islam, you are not welcome.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf claims the right to build a mosque, a house of Sharia here – on this hallowed ground. But, friends, I have not forgotten and neither have you. That is why we are here today. To draw the line. Here, on this sacred spot. We are here in the spirit of America’s founding fathers. We are here in the spirit of freedom. We are here in the spirit of Abraham Lincoln, the President who freed the slaves. President Lincoln said: “Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves.” These words are the key to our survival. The tolerance that is crucial to our freedom requires a line of defense.

Mayor Bloomberg uses tolerance as an argument to allow Imam Rauf and his sponsors to build their so-called Cordoba Mosque. Mayor Bloomberg forgets, however, that openness cannot be open-ended. A tolerant society is not a suicidal society. It must defend itself against the powers of darkness, the force of hatred and the blight of ignorance. It cannot tolerate the intolerant – and survive. This means that we must not give a free hand to those who want to subjugate us. An overwhelming majority of Americans is opposed to building this mosque. So is an overwhelming majority everywhere in the non-Islamic world. Because we all realize what is at stake here. We know what this so-called Cordoba mosque really means.

Imam Rauf maintains that American secular law and Sharia law are based on the same principles. He refuses to condemn terrorists because he says terrorism is “a very complex question”. He says America is “an accessory to the crime that happened on 9/11.” “In fact,” he literally said, “in the most direct sense, Osama bin Laden is made in the USA.”He also says that “terrorism will only end when the West acknowledges the harm it has done to Muslims.”

That is why this man should not play the game he has in mind here in Manhattan. His “Blame the West, Blame America”-message is an insult. Americans – and by extension, all of us whose civilization was also attacked on 9/11/2001 – are not to blame for what happened here nine years ago today.

Osama bin Laden is not made in the USA. The West never “harmed” Islam before it harmed us. Most Americans do not want this so-called Cordoba Mosque to be built here. They understand that it is both a provocation and a humiliation. They understand the triumphant narrative of a mosque named after the Great Mosque of Cordoba which was constructed where a Christian cathedral stood before the land was conquered by Islam.

An overwhelming majority of Americans is opposed to building an Islamic cultural center close to Ground Zero. There is no lack of mosques in New York. There are dozens of buildings in which Muslims can pray. It isn’t about a lack of space for prayers. It’s about the symbolic meaning.

We who have come to speak today, object to this mosque project because its promoter and his wealthy sponsors have never suggested building a center to promote tolerance and interfaith understanding where it is really needed: In Mecca – a town where non-Muslims are not even allowed to enter, let alone build churches, synagogues, temples or community centers. So why should we do that?

Ordinary Americans object to the mosque project because currently no fewer than ten major multi-million dollar mosque projects are being planned in the United States as well as dozens in Europe, while not a single church is allowed in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia,while Jews are not even allowed to move their lips in prayer on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem,while the oldest Christians in the world, the Copts, are not free to renovate their churches, let alone to build one in Egypt.

My friends, that is why we are here today. What happens in New York must be seen in the perspective of the world. The events nine years ago made an enormous impact everywhere. Most people shared your pain, but, unfortunately, some did not. Nine years ago, when the news of the terrible atrocity in New York reached Europe, Muslim youths danced in the streets.

In a poll, two thirds of the Muslim immigrants in the Netherlands expressed partial or full understanding for the 9/11 terrorists. If a mosque were built here on Ground Zero such people would feel triumphant. But we, we will not betray those who died on 9/11. For their sakes we cannot tolerate a mosque on or near Ground Zero. For their sakes loud and clear we say: No mosque here! For their sakes, we must draw the line. So that New York, rooted in Dutch tolerance, will never become New Mecca.

But, let us also express our gratitude for the heroes of 9/11, those who went down in that Pennsylvania field, those who were standing freedom’s watch at the Pentagon, and those who were here in New York nine years ago to risk and lose their lives for the victims. Friends, in honor of these victims, these heroes and their families, I believe that the words of Ronald Reagan, spoken in Normandy on the 40th anniversary of D-Day, resonate with new purpose on this hallowed spot.

President Reagan said: “We will always remember. We will always be proud. We will always be prepared, so we may always be free.” And, we, too, will always remember the victims of 9/11 and their loved ones who were left behind;We, too, will always be proud of the heroes;We will always defend liberty, democracy and human dignity;In the name of freedom: No mosque here!

HAMAS USES PHOSPHORUS BOMBS!

IDF experts who examined some of the mortar shells fired at Israeli communities found that the explosives used contained phosphorous. The finding shows that Hamas has gained more advanced weapons technology, they said.

Phosphorous would make any wounds resulting from a terrorist rocket attack more severe, as the substance burns on impact and can cause serious injury or death. It is forbidden for use as a weapon in civilian areas by international law.

Gaza terrorists fired one rocket and nine mortar shells at Israeli civilian communities in the western Negev. Senior Hamas terrorist Ahmed Jabri released a statement calling to continue the attacks “until victory.”

Hamas previously said it was refraining from attacking Israel, and blamed rocket and mortar shell attacks on other terrorist groups operating in Gaza.

In response to these recent attacks, IDF planes bombed tunnels in southern Gaza. According to Channel 2 news, at least one of the tunnels was to have been used to bring terrorists from Gaza to southern Israel, to carry out either an attack or a kidnapping.

Jabri made reference to Hamas’s tunnels network in his statement. “By our faith, our weapons, our rockets, our tunnels and our martyrs – given to us by Allah – we will achieve victory in the land of Palestine,” he told followers.

CLINTON LAYS GROUNDWORK FOR PA AS NECESSARY FOR JEWISH STATE!

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton laid the groundwork for arguing that Israel needs a new Arab state in order to remain “democratic and Jewish.”

Speaking with President Shimon Peres in Jerusalem at the opening of the second straight day of talks between Israel and PA leaders, Clinton stated, “The status quo is unsustainable” even if it can last for another 30 years. “The only path to ensure Israel’s future as a secure democratic and Jewish state“ is an Arab state, headed by the Palestinian Authority, “alongside” Israel.”

The United States has adopted almost all of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s demands that a new PA state should include all of Judea and Samaria and parts of Jerusalem that were restored to Israel in the Six-Day War in 1967, nearly 2,000 years after the destruction of the Second Temple and the end of Jewish rule over the city. Many PA clerics and leaders deny that the Temples ever existed.

Clinton’s speech effectively expresses the thesis that the continued existence of a “Jewish Israel” is dependent on transforming all of Judea and Samaria, where 300,000 Jews live, into a new country under the sovereignty of the Palestinian Authority.

She did not mention the building freeze on Jewish homes in Judea and Samaria, which is to expire in 12 days and which Abbas demands be extended as a condition for continuing discussions with Israel.

The Obama administration has made no direct demands of the Palestinian Authority, which continues a campaign of incitement against Israel despite several previous agreements that conditioned future talks on a halt to agitation.

The State Department last week ignored a reporter’s query on what concessions the Palestinian Authority must make to Israel. Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev told Israel National News that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu insists on two things: that a new PA state be de-militarized—meaning without the capability to attack Israel with rockets and artillery—and that it recognize Israel as Jewish country.

The American strategy appears to give a ladder to Abbas, who has perched himself on a limb by refusing Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s demand that he recognize Israel as a “Jewish” country. “I hear the term two states” but not ”two peoples,” the Prime Minister told the Cabinet.

Clinton put the ball back in Israel’s court by implying that Israel cannot remain Jewish unless it surrenders areas that Abbas wants and which have been part of Israel for more than four decades.

Arab recognition of Israel as a Jewish state would virtually deny its demand that Israel allow the immigration of several million foreign Arabs who claim Israel as their ancestral home dating back to 1948, when the State of Israel was established.

PA: JEWISH WORSHIP IS “SIN AND FILTH” AT WESTERN WALL!!!!

The Palestinian Authority has publicly labeled Jewish worship at the Western Wall to be “sin and filth” in a television program broadcast in Arabic on Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish New Year.

The documentary was broadcast in Arabic on Fatah’s PA TV, run by the faction headed by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, and it was translated by the PA media watchdog organization, Palestinian Media Watch (PMW).

Abbas is participating Wednesday in a third round of direct talks with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. The talks are being personally supervised by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and U.S. Special Mideast Envoy George Mitchell.

The program, which was broadcast after the first round of talks in Washington two weeks ago, showed Jews praying at the Western Wall – Judaism’s holiest site, along with the rest of the Temple Mount area. As the camera panned the scene, the narrator explained, “They (Israelis) know for certain that our (Arab) roots are deeper than their false history. We, from the balcony of our homes, look out over (Islamic) holiness and on sin and filth (the Jews praying at the Western Wall).”

Denial of the Jewish history in Jerusalem and the existence of the Holy Temples is a central component in the PA’s political ideology. One of the most important themes in the harangues of Islamic clerics in the PA is the libelous charge that Israel plans to destroy the Al Aqsa mosque, today perched atop the site where the First and Second Jewish Temples once stood. The clerics whip up Muslim worshippers into a frenzy during their Friday sermons, and they in turn direct their murderous rage at Israeli soldiers, policemen and civilians.

In June, PA Mufti Sheikh Muhammad Hussein warned that Israel planned to implement “plans for Judaization of the Al-Buraq Wall (Western Wall), aimed at turning it into a center for the Jewish nation.” Hussein made the statement in an interview with the Arabic-language Al-Hayat Al-Jadida daily newspaper, linked to the Fatah-led PA government in Ramallah.

US ZIONIST LEADER CHALLENGES TIME MAGAZINE TO DEBATE!

Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) President Morton Klein challenges TIME magazine’s managing editor to a debate over its cover story, “Why Israel Doesn’t Care About Peace.”

The TIME essay by Karl Vick depicted a Star of David and totally ignored the Palestinian Authority, which by all accounts outside of the Arab world has been steadfast in refusing any compromise on demands that include Israel’s sovereignty over the Western Wall (Kotel), all of the Old City and opening the gates to several million foreign Arabs claiming Israel as home by ancestry.

After angry protests called TIME anti-Semitic and demanded an apology, a CNN blog stated, “Arutz Sheva… published an opinion piece [by Prof. Phyllis Chesler] on the TIME story calling it a ‘blood libel’ against Israel and evidence that the magazine and “countless other media in the Western world, can no longer be trusted to tell the truth.” Vick’s article drew sharp criticism from a wide spectrum of sources, including The Wall Street Journal’s Bret Stephens.

Klein called the article “wretched” and accused Vick of “falsely claiming Israel doesn’t care about peace, while ignoring the reality of Palestinians having repeatedly rejected every extraordinary peace deal Israel has offered. Not only do they reject peace offers, they also responded with terror and more incitement against Israel and Jews.”

He challenged Vick or TIME managing editor Richard Stengel to a “public debate on the subject of whether the Israelis or the Palestinians have shown little interest in a peace deal.” TIME has not responded, but the author stated on the CNN blog, the story was “meant to be provocative and intrigue. There is always debate and criticism of anything that challenges conventional wisdom. It was apparent to me that life here is really good and when security is good there is no urgency.”

Klein charged, “The cover and the article are a malicious depiction of Israelis as a people more interested in making money and enjoying material pleasures than in concluding a peace agreement with the Palestinians. To prove its bogus thesis, TIME Magazine primarily relied on the words of two Israeli real estate agents, a left-wing columnist, a left-wing academic and a few others, while totally ignoring Palestinian Authority (PA) lack of interest in peace.”

Klein, in his challenge to a debate, said the journalist “unsubtly” introduced “traditionally anti-Semitic stereotypes about Jews being preoccupied with money at the cost of human virtues – ‘they’re otherwise engaged; they’re making money, they’re enjoying the rays of the late summer’ and preaches to the Israelis – ‘don’t Israelis know that finding peace with the Palestinians is the only way to guarantee their happiness and prosperity?’ The article shows picture after picture of Israelis enjoying themselves in cafes and lying on sunny beaches.

“This anti-Semitic and misleading cover and article plumbs new depths in TIME Magazine’s long-running, historic bigotry towards Israel. The ZOA demands an apology and retraction of this story which ignores all the concessions Israel has made to the Palestinians, including giving away half of Judea and Samaria, all of Gaza and agreeing to the recent 10-month construction freeze.

“During this period, there have been no Palestinian concessions, no fulfillment of its signed agreements to arrest terrorists, outlaw terrorist groups and end incitement to hatred and murder against Israelis and, until last week, a refusal to even negotiate. Meanwhile, the PA honors and lauds terrorists. But Karl Vick dishonestly withheld all this from his readers.

“On the very day negotiations between Israel and the PA commenced in Washington, D.C., the PA ambassador to Iran said that the PA will continue its war on Israel until ‘the complete eradication of the fabricated regime in due course’; another PA minister threatened war if Israel does not return to its ‘owners’ Jerusalem, which he described as ‘Palestinian … throughout history’ while another PA minister honored the families of dead terrorists and accused Israel of harvesting the organs of dead Palestinians.’

“Instead, Mr. Vick praises the PA for ‘taking a serious stab at governance, starting by professionalizing the security forces.’ … He also didn’t tell his readers that in January, when Fatah terrorists murdered an Israeli in a similar roadside assault, the PA praised the terrorists as martyrs and heroes while condemning their killing by Israeli forces and that Salam Fayyad personally paid condolence calls on the terrorists’ families.”

AIR FORCE REHEARSAL FOR AERIAL ATTACK A MESSAGE TO HIZBULLAH!

The Israel Air Force Base at Tel Nof near Tel Aviv is holding a four-day drill to prepare for a possible attack by Iranian proxies Hizbullah and Hamas. In the event of war, Israel expects the terror militias to target IAF bases in a bid to prevent jets from taking off. Israel’s legendary air force is seen by experts as its prime asset in a war against Iran and its proxies in Lebanon and Gaza.

The drill was covered by IAF Magazine – a sign that the IAF wants its enemies to know it is preparing for an attack on its bases.

Since Sunday, sirens have been going off intermittently throughout the base, which is located south of Tel Aviv and near Rehovot on Israel’s coast. While Gaza is geographically much closer to Tel Nof than Lebanon, the drill is billed as a preparation for an attack from the north, where Hizbullah is believed to have tens of thousands of missiles ready for an attack, with ranges that cover the entire length of the Jewish state.

“A missile has struck the underground hangar,” a loudspeaker blares, and then adds the calming words – “a drill, a drill.”

Major T., a pilot from the Hod HeChanit (Tip of the Spear) Squadron, told IAF Magazine that his squadron is not necessarily rehearsing for the current threats but preparing for “future threats and abilities that are expected to enter the theatre of war in the next few years. We managed to maintain a high level and achieve good results, even in the attack missions and the air-to-air scenarios, despite the difficulty inherent in working under missile fire.”

While the base’s squadrons perform aerial exercises, the Aerial Combat Rescue and Evacuation Unit – known as Unit 669 – used a Yas’ur CH-53 helicopter to simulate a rescue mission involving six pilots who had bailed from their jets. A munitions unit set up a makeshift weapons plant, and a construction unit rehearsed the filling of craters caused by enemy missiles.” Such craters on runways could presumably prevent jets from taking off.

“One can never know precisely what will happen,” Major T. said. “The main element in absorbing a missile strike is psychological. We tried to simulate the difficulty in the best possible way, but one cannot predict how a soldier will function if his best friend is killed.”

Earlier this year, the IDF estimated that in case of war, each IAF base could be directly hit by several dozen missiles.

OBAMA SIDESTEPS PA’s REFUSAL TO CALL ISRAEL “A JEWISH STATE”!

U.S. President Barack Obama has sidestepped a chance to back Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s demand that the Palestinian Authority call Israel a Jewish State, but he told reporters that the Prime Minister should accept Abbas’s demand and extend the building freeze for four more months.

The freeze on building Jewish homes in Judea and Samaria, and the issue of Israel’s being a Jewish State, are the major demands that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Netanyahu have made for direct talks to address the issue of establishing the PA as a new Arab country.

The Prime Minister told the Cabinet “I hear about two states, but I don’t hear two peoples.”

In a press conference, President Obama directly told reporters that Israel should meet Abbas’ demand but ignored the Israeli demand, stated in a reporter’s comment that “Abbas…said the Palestinians won’t recognize Israel as a Jewish state.” The reporter continued, “The question is, if these talks fail at an early stage, will this Administration disengage? Or maybe you’re ready to step up and deepen your personal involvement.”

President Obama did not refer to the “Jewish State” issue except to clearly imply that its definition depends on Israel’s surrendering all of the areas restored to the country in the Six-Day War in 1967.

In a reply to another question if Israel “should extend the settlement moratorium as a gesture to peace,” President Obama commented that “it makes sense for Israel to extend that moratorium,” which is due to expire September 26.

Israel has reasoned that the freeze originally was offered to meet Abbas’ condition to sit down with Israel for direct talks, but that he has balked and his time runs out in three weeks. President Obama implicitly justified the PA’s refusal, saying that “the Palestinians were very skeptical. They said this doesn’t do anything. And it turns out, to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s credit and to the Israeli government’s credit, the settlement moratorium has actually been significant. It has significantly reduced settlement construction in the region. And that’s why now the Palestinians say, you know what, even though we weren’t that keen on it at first or we thought it was just window dressing, it turns out that this is important to us.

“And if you can get an agreement, then you can start constructing anything that the people of Israel see fit in undisputed areas.”

President Obama also specifically stated that he knows extending the freeze makes “the politics for Prime Minister Netanyahu…very difficult because there are a number of members of his coalition who’ve said, ‘We don’t want to continue this.’”

The only demand he made from Abbas was that he sit down with Israel for discussions, which Abbas has said are not open for any negotiations on the PA demands for total sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, the Temple Mount and all parts of Jerusalem that were under the Jordanian occupation between 1949 and 1967.

The President maintained, “I’ve said to President Abbas you’ve got to show the Israeli public that you are serious and constructive in these talks so that the politics for Prime Minister Netanyahu — if he were to extend the settlements moratorium — would be a little bit easier.”

President Obama also claimed that the discussions between Abbas and Prime Minister Netanyahu in Washington last month “exceeded a lot of people’s expectations. What they said was that they were serious about negotiating. They affirmed the goal of creating two states, living side by side in peace and security. They have set up a schedule where they’re going to meet every two weeks.”

However, PA spokesman Nabil Abu-Rudaineh told the Arabic language A-sharq Al-Awsat newspaper that the meeting only was “to explore the positions” and did not deal with any core issues, such as the status of Jerusalem.

Concerning defining Israel as “Jewish” country, he stated, “Abbas has repeatedly defined the Palestinian position by saying that there is a letter of mutual recognition between the PLO and the Israeli Government. We are not interested in what Israel calls itself. We are only interested in the letter of mutual recognition between the PA and the Israeli government.”

OBAMA IS WRONG AGAIN!

In response to the murder of four Israelis by Arab terrorists, President Obama said, “The tragedy that we saw yesterday where people were gunned down on the street by terrorists who are purposely trying to undermine these talks …”

The aim of the terrorists, however, was not to stop peace talks, since such an assumption is absurd, and the attack occurred close to the same place where an Israeli policeman was shot in his car several months ago when there were no “peace talks.”

Israelis are frequently attacked on roads throughout Israel by rocks and fire bombs, sometimes by snipers; these attacks are not connected to any political or diplomatic process. Framing this attack as politically motivated distorts the nature and meaning of Arab terrorism against Jews.

President Obama went on to say, “The message should go out to Hamas and everybody else who is taking credit for these heinous crimes that this is not going to stop us from not only ensuring a secure Israel but also securing a longer-lasting peace in which people throughout the region can take a different course.”

One might have expected him to say, “Those who commit such murders, and those who support them, will be brought to justice and punished to the fullest extent of the law.”

Or, “These murders are the result of incitement and we will prevent all funding of incitement.”

Or, “We demand that the PA forces, especially those trained and supplied forces by the United States, will apprehend, arrest, and punish anyone who engages in terrorism.”

Or, “Unless the PA acts to eliminate terrorism and incitement there can be no progress in political, diplomatic or military cooperation. Actions speak louder than words.”

But he did not, and he won’t, because no matter what Arab terrorists do, the PA knows it has the support of America, Europe and the international community. It can get away with murder, and does.

Terrorists don’t seek compromise
President Obama’s misunderstanding of and his failure to act against Arab terrorism is due to the mindset that views terrorism as a response to specific causes – and political or ideological motives. In Israel’s case, it’s “the occupation,” which has become a brand-name legitimization for killing Jews and demonizing Israel.

The danger of linking terrorism to grievances is that it rationalizes murder and justifies those who perpetrate it. But those who carry out such acts are not driven by a sense of injustice, or rescuing humanity; they are homicidal criminals who seek to inflict the most damage to the largest number of people, regardless of who they are, or their beliefs.

Arab terrorists, who plan and train meticulously, don’t seek political compromises; their goal is Jihad, total elimination of Jews, and the State of Israel. They don’t think about a “peace process;” they are committed to annihilation of their enemies. They see themselves as “martyrs,” and are glorified by their communities, and by the PA.

And they see their cause as just. This provides the psychological determination to perpetrate murder as an act of religious and political sanctification. And they are not alone, since most of the international community, and President Obama now, justify not their means, but the end – a second Arab Palestinian state, for starters; an Islamic world for “the believers.”

This is what President Obama did not understand about the controversial Islamic Center near the site of “9/11.” It’s not about a mosque, but about what comes along with it. It’s not about a building, or religious freedom; it’s about full disclosure and transparency.

It’s not what Obama said, but what he could have and should have said – and done – as an American president. The American flag on his lapel is not just an ornament!

Nuke chief Salehi says country has no undeclared nuclear sites; opposition claims uranium enrichment plant hidden in mountains.
Iran is denying an opposition group’s claim that it is building a secret nuclear facility west of the capital, the semiofficial Mehr news agency reported on Friday.

The head of Iran’s nuclear agency, Ali Akbar Salehi, said the country has no undeclared nuclear sites.

On Thursday, an Iranian opposition group claimed to have discovered a new uranium enrichment plant being built about 75 miles (120 kilometers) west of Tehran and said it was 85 percent complete.

A US government official also disputed the claim by the People’s Mujahedeen Organization of Iran, saying the site did not appear to have a nuclear role. The official said the US has known about the facility for years but has no reason to think it is nuclear.

Prominent Iranian opposition members claimed to have revealed a secret uranium enrichment site buried deep in the mountains northwest of Teheran, according to an AFP report on Thursday.

According to the report, the enrichment site is managed by Iran’s defense ministry and construction began in 2005 in Abyek, roughly 70 miles northwest of Teheran, the People’s Mujahedeen Organization of Iran (PMOI), revealed.

“This is controlled, run and operated… by the ministry of defense,” said Alireza Jafarzadeh, former media spokesman for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) at a press conference in Washington DC.

The PMOI, the main organization in the NCRI, has been officially recognized as a foreign terror organization by the US, however in July, a judge ruled that the group should be removed from the foreign terror list.

Until now, Iran has spent 100 million dollars on the project, said Soona Samsami, former US representative for the NCRI. He said that around 85 percent of construction of the site has been completed.

Samsami and Jafarzadeh presented satellite photographs of the alleged uranium enrichment location which they say supports information received from sources “inside the Iranian regime.” The two presented what they said were four entrances and a tunnel to the site.

On top of the tunnel, a mountain peak stands at a height of 100 meters. Nuclear experts said a height of 80 meters is needed to block detection through radioactive emissions, explained Jafarzadeh. The site is protected from aerial bombardment due to the mountain’s location, he added.

The tunnel, with dimensions of eight meters at the width and 200 meters in length, goes deep underground to three large halls which were designed to hold centrifuge cascades, utilized in the process of uranium enrichment, Jafarzadeh said.

When construction of the facility began, Iran had denied any nuclear activities, said the opposition members.

The data revealed about the Behjatabad-Abyek site was shared with the US government, US Congress and the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency.
