International effort: US, Nepalese teams rescue 11-year-old girl, 15-year-old boy who miraculously survived for days under the rubble.

Rescuers in Nepal have rescued two children trapped under rubble for five days, as the country continues to struggle to deal with the desperate aftermath of Saturday’s devastating earthquake.

More than 5,500 people are known to have died in the 7.8 magnitude quake and its aftershocks, with the death toll expected to keep rising as more bodies are dug out from under the ruins of countless buildings leveled by the disaster.

But on Thursday at least exhausted relief workers revealed hope amid the tragedy, after an 11-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy were discovered alive against the odds.

The first incident occurred just before midnight Tuesday, when a young girl was rescued by Nepalese soldiers in Bhaktapur Dattatreya Square, located in the Kathmandu Valley.

Photos circulating online of the moments following the rescue show the visibly relieved girl in the arms of a soldier – covered in dust and exhausted, but looking otherwise remarkably healthy after spending days under the rubble.

The second rescue occurred in the capital city of Kathmandu itself, and underlined the international character of the relief operation. American and Nepalese rescue workers worked for hours to free the trapped boy, who later identified himself as 15-year-old Pemba Lama, and transferred him to an Israeli field hospital for treatment.

According to BBC journalist Yogita Limaye, Lama told rescuers he had survived by drinking water dripping off of wet clothes, and eating two bottles of clarified butter, or “ghee”, which were within reach.

She said he too was in surprisingly good health considering his ordeal, emerging fully conscious and conversing with doctors after some 120 hours trapped in the rubble.

A US Agency for International Development official told the Associated Press the boy had been trapped between two collapsed floors of the building he was in when the quake struck, but that fortunately for him the collapsed floors were not “too far down”.

Miracle: The two children survived despite being trapped for days

Meanwhile, desperate scenes are continuing to play out throughout the country, as many Nepalese accuse their government of failing them during the crisis.

With many tens of thousands injured, homeless, or both, some areas have still not received any food or medical aid since the earthquake struck.

Yesterday Israel advised all its citizens not involved in rescue efforts to leave the country, after angry locals clashed with riot police and seized some aid they said was not being distributed fairly.

According to the UN, some eight million people have been effected by the disaster, including at least 11,000 injured and 70,000 homes completely destroyed.

The UN is appealing to international donors for $415 million it says is necessary to provide vital emergency relief over the next three months alone.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (ANS — April 23, 2015) — The First Wave of Jews coming to Jesus hit in the 1970s in America. The Second Wave were Russian Jews in the 1990s. And now – in what some observers call a Third Wave – Jews in Israel are coming to faith in increasing numbers.

“I have never seen the breakthrough like we’re seeing now,” said Tuvya Zaretsky, chairman of the board for the Israel branch of Jews for Jesus. “We’re seeing a steady stream of Israelis who are coming to Jesus from all walks of life, though usually among the young. There seems to be a greater openness to spiritual input. We’re thinking it’s a Third Wave of in-gathering.”

In the 1990s, there were about 3,000 Messianic Jews in Israel; today there are as many as 20,000 (still less than 1% of the population), said Simon Stout, executive assistant of Jews for Jesus in Tel Aviv. Also, one source estimates 150 congregations of like-minded believers in Israel. Of Israel’s 84 cities and towns, 81 have at least one messianic Bible study.

Messianism in Israel “It’s been a very unusual turning in Israel,” said Zaretsky, who’s been traveling to Israel since 1971. “The community of believers there has solidified. They’ve found their voice. There’s less antagonism. The situation is changing.”

When Jews for Jesus launched its Israel branch in 2000, its banners were torn down and workers beaten up by ultra-orthodox Jews who associated Christianity with the Holocaust. Now, Jews for Jesus has a staff of 31 and the world political situation has sparked greater interest in Jesus, Zaretsky said.

After World War II’s Holocaust killed 6 million Jews, Israel was created by decree of the United Nations as a safe place for Jews. But now many Israelis feel more imperiled than ever. Iran, which is feared to be close to producing nuclear weapons, is constantly threatening Israel’s destruction. On the streets of Israel, terrorism is a constant.

In meeting with Jewish supporters, former President slams Obama for global ‘retreat,’ not knowing how to ‘kill ’em’ in war on terror.

Former US President George W. Bush leveled rare words of sharp public criticism against his successor, President Barack Obama, accusing him of being naive regarding Iran’s nuclear intentions and of losing the war against Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists.

Bush’s statements were made in a closed-door meeting on Saturday night at a Republican Jewish Coalition session at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, which was attended by hotel owner Sheldon Adelson, said to be a key supporter of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

One of the attendants transcribed parts of Bush’s comments, which were published by Bloomberg View.

In his statements, Bush slammed Obama for being on “retreat” in terms of American policy worldwide, and for misreading the Islamic regime of Iran by pushing for a nuclear deal that would remove sanctions while leaving them with all their nuclear facilities and allow them to continue enriching uranium.
Bush said of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, “he’s smooth. And you’ve got to ask yourself, is there a new policy or did they just change the spokesman?”

The former President also criticized Obama’s “snap back” plan threatening to return sanctions if Iran is found to be violating the deal as implausible, given that detection will be difficult – particularly given Iranian insistence not to allow inspection of its nuclear sites.

“You think the Middle East is chaotic now? Imagine what it looks like for our grandchildren. That’s how Americans should view the deal,” Bush remarked of the nuclear deal being formed with Iran ahead of a June 30 deadline.
“You gotta kill ’em”

Turning his attention to ISIS, Bush said the group is merely a continuation of the Al Qaeda terrorist organization he led the fight against during his Presidency.

He noted that Al Qaeda terrorist Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who confessed to the brutal beheading of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, was captured while he led America and was imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay.

“Just remember the guy who slit Danny Pearl’s throat is in Gitmo, and now they’re doing it on TV,” he said of the way ISIS is beheading victims with relative impunity under Obama’s watch.

Bush added that Obama lacked a plan of action in fulfilling his stated mission to “degrade and destroy” ISIS.”In order to be an effective President…when you say something you have to mean it,” Bush said. “You gotta kill ’em.”

The ex-President then spoke about several other subjects, starting with Russian President Vladimir Putin who he noted is rich, divorced, and loves power. He said Putin’s popularity in Russia is due to his media control, saying “hell, I’d be popular, too, if I owned NBC News.”

Bush’s brother Jeb, a former Florida governor, is in the Republican race for President. The former President acknowledged his family ties may harm Jeb given that Americans don’t like dynasties.
He urged Republican candidates to have the “courage” to tackle foreign policy and not get stuck on isolationist home front issues.

As for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, Bush said she would either have to oppose or support Obama’s policies. If she defends them she’s admitting failure, Bush said, but if she opposes them it would be tantamount to blaming Obama

by Professor Gerald Aranoff (Arutz Sheva News)

We read in this week’s parsha in Israel: You shall not steal; you shall not deal deceitfully or falsely with one another. You shall not swear falsely by My name, profaning the name of your God: I am the Lord. You shall not defraud your fellow. You shall not commit robbery. The wages of a laborer shall not remain with you until morning. You shall not insult the deaf, or place a stumbling block before the blind. You shall fear your God: I am the Lord. You shall not render an unfair decision: do not favor the poor or show deference to the rich; judge your kinsman fairly. Do not deal basely with your countrymen. Do not profit by the blood of your fellow: I am the Lord. You shall not hate your kinsfolk in your heart. Reprove your kinsman but incur no guilt because of him. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against your countrymen. Love your fellow as yourself: I am the Lord (Leviticus 19:11-18).

The world-famous positive command Love your fellow as yourself is here among many negative commands: you shall not …, Do not….

Do not deal basely with your countrymen. Rashi says this refers to bad-mouthing.

Talmud Tractate: Kethuboth 46a: “?Whence is the warning against bringing up an evil name [upon one’s wife] deduced? R. Eleazar replied: Do not deal basely with your countrymen (Leviticus 19:16).”

Talmud Tractate, Eiruvin 54b, cites Proverbs 5:19 to tell us how much we must love Torah. The Talmud compares love of Torah to the love a man might have for a woman.

Eiruvin 54b: “R. Samuel b. Nahmani expounded: With reference to the Scriptural text: A loving doe, a graceful mountain goat. Let her breasts satisfy you at all times; Be infatuated with love of her always (Proverbs 5:19). Why were the words of the Torah compared to a doe? To tell you that as the doe has a narrow womb and is loved by its mate at all times as at the first hour of their meeting, so it is with the words of the Torah They are loved by those who study them at all times as at the hour when they first made their acquaintance. a graceful mountain goat? Because the Torah bestows grace upon those who study it. Let her breasts satisfy you at all times? Why were the words of the Torah compared to a breast? As with a breast, however often the child sucks [lit. feels searches] it so often does he find milk in it, so it is with the words of the Torah. As often a man studies them so often does he find relish in them. Be infatuated with love of her always? As was the case with R. Eleazar b. Pedath, for instance. It was said of K. Eleazar that he sat and studied Torah in the lower market of Sepphoris while his linen cloak lay in the upper market of the town [R. Eleazar presumably left his cloak with his wares in the upper market while, absorbed in his studies, he went down to the lower one oblivious of both his cloak and his wares.]. [It was taught] R. Isaac b. Eleazar related: A man once came to take it and found a venomous serpent in it [Providential protection of the property of the just].”

God’s wonderful blessing is for man to have a strong everlasting physical attraction to his mate. King Solomon in Proverbs 5 wisely advises a man to be satisfied with his wife and never look elsewhere:

Drink water from your own cistern, Running water from your own well. Your springs will gush forth In streams in the public squares. They will be yours alone, Others having no part with you. Let your fountain be blessed; Find joy in the wife of your youth—A loving doe, a graceful mountain goat…Why be infatuated, my son, with a forbidden woman? Why clasp the bosom of an alien woman? (Proverbs 5:15-20)

Reading King Solomon’s advice in a plain reading, a man should acquire a wife (Drink water from your own cistern…) and love her and always be attracted to her (Be infatuated with love of her always).

A blessed and fortunate man loves his wife. Men and women have many pursuits: to acquire a home, to have children, and to provide for the family and others. It’s a blessing when we have deep attraction and joy in all our pursuits.

We can compare love of Torah—to love a man might have for a woman or to love of a fine country. We must love keeping the Torah – You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might (Deuteronomy 6:5) and we must love our fellow man.

Israel is our home. We have deep attraction and joy in our home, Israel.

Love of the land of Israel is much like love of Torah and love a man for a woman.

We must not bad-mouth Israel as did the wicked spies. Rashi says on Numbers 13:2: “Why is the section on the spies place after the section on Miriam because she was stricken on matters that she spoke on her brother, and these wicked saw and did not take reproof.”

We must not speak evil of God. Proverbs 18:7-8: “The fool’s speech is his ruin; His words are a trap for him. The words of a querulous man are bruising; They penetrate one’s inmost parts.”

The Malbim says here: “His outer, superficial talk (lips in verse 6) against Divine providence (verse 5) prepares a snare for his soul, in which he is trapped by his serious, thoughtful talk (mouth). Then comes calamity, involving Divine physical punishment as well. The querulous man complains that the Almighty created him for a miserable life, evil being more prevalent than good, would that he had never been born. The Almighty (says he) has abandoned him to a chance fate. His words are like blows, as though Hashem were always striking him down. The truth is, however, that the clouts and blows are all within, from his own perverse vision of things. He forever broods and fumes. Imagining that others have everything he lacks and all Heaven’s favors to him seem evil. God made man upright and whole, but he distorts his life with his perceptions.”

We must not do as the foolish and wicked man who speaks evil of his wife, his neighbor, his country and his Creator. The fool and the wicked speak ???? ???. We must be as the wise and be grateful and joyful to God for His abundant blessings He gave us, life here in the Land of Israel. We must love our family, neighbors, country and God.

BIDEN: WE’LL DELIVER NEW F-35s TO ISRAEL IN 2015 by Elad Benari (Arutz Sheva News)

Vice President Joe Biden said on Thursday the United States would deliver new F-35 fighter jets to Israel next year, saying the move would help the Jewish state maintain its military edge in the Middle East.

The comments by Biden, quoted by Reuters, were made at a celebration in honor of Israel’s 67th Independence Day at the Israeli Embassy in Washington.

The Vice President described the aircraft as “our finest, making Israel the only country in the Middle East to have this fifth-generation aircraft.”

Vowing the United States would make sure Israel maintained its “qualitative edge,” Biden told the audience, “Next year, we will deliver to Israel the F-35.”

Israel originally signed an agreement in 2010 to purchase the F-35 stealth fighter jets from the United States for $2.75 billion.

In October, the Ministry of Defense announced that Israel will acquire a new squadron of F-35 jets and would receive 19 such aircraft.

At Thursday’s event, Biden also admitted that it was no secret that the Obama Administration has had differences with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s government, but added that the differences were natural and would not affect relations.

“It’s only natural for two democracies like ours,” Biden said, according to The Associated Press (AP). “We’re like family. We have a lot to say to one another. Sometimes we drive each other crazy, but we love each other — and we protect each other.”

Ron Dermer, Israel’s ambassador to Washington and one of Netanyahu’s top advisers, also acknowledged that the U.S. and Israel have sometimes had deep disagreements on critical matters. He added, however, that the region’s immense security challenges would inevitable pull the two democracies together.

“We have weathered all those disagreements to grow closer and closer, decade after decade,” Dermer said, according to AP.

We believe that in 1948, God’s Word and promises were fulfilled as the Nation of Israel was restored!

The greatest need among Christians is to study your Bibles carefully and realize that the 2566 usages of the word “ISRAEL” carries with it a responsibility to understand our Jewish roots and that Bible Prophecy centers on the prophecies and promises of an unconditional, everlasting covenant of the LORD GOD of Israel – ISRAEL WILL NEVER CEASE TO BE A NATION BEFORE GOD FOREVER!

As we do every year, Israelis on Wednesday made the incredible transition from deep mourning to bounding joy as we first marked the Memorial Day for our fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism before moving immediately into Independence Day.

Nationwide sirens on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning brought Israel to a standstill to remember 23,320 fallen soldiers and victims of anti-Israel terrorism. Both sirens were followed by national and private Memorial Day ceremonies at cemeteries and war memorials across the country.

Nearly every Israeli has lost a family member or friend to war or terrorism, meaning that for nearly every Israeli, Memorial Day is a very solemn time.

One interesting aspect of Israel’s Memorial Day that is today lacking even in many Christian nations is the liberal referencing of God and biblical faith by the nation’s leaders. As an example, the following prayer was posted to Facebook by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

May God remember the souls of His heroic children: The fighters of the Israel Defense Forces, who fell in the wars of Israel, in defensive, retaliative, and security actions and during the fulfillment of their duty, including the souls of the underground fighters and brigades who fought in the national struggle – all those who sacrificed their lives for the sanctification of God’s Name.

And with the help of God, the Lord of Israel’s campaigns, they brought about the revival of the nation and the state and the redemption of the land and the city of God.

They were quicker than eagles and stronger than lions as they volunteered to assist the nation, and they saturated our holy land with their pure blood.

The memory of their self-sacrifice and heroic deeds will never disappear from us. May their souls be bound in the Bond of Life with the souls of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and with the souls of the other heroes and martyrs of Israel who are in Heaven.

At sunset on Wednesday (remember that in Jewish tradition, days start at sunset), our mourning was turned to sudden joy as we burst into celebration over what the sacrifices of our loved ones have purchased – a safe and secure Jewish homeland after millennia of exile and persecution.

by Tsvi Sadan (Israel Today News)

The last elections shined a spotlight on what Israelis consider to be the main issue facing their society today – left-wing media bias.

Leftist bias in the local mainstream media was previously not considered a major problem. Sure, people talked about it, but that talk never went beyond the usual and familiar Israeli ranting.
Programs intended to monitor and critique the media’s journalistic professionalism became a farce when colleagues began interviewing only one another and closing ranks to protect “the guild.” The idea of media bias, they sneered, was nothing more than a myth propagated by losers.

For their part, politicians and public figures kept out of the debate either because the media bias served them, or because they were afraid of journalistic backlash.

The first to seriously challenge the media’s leftist bias was head of Jewish Home Party, Naftali Bennett, whose “I do not apologize” campaign proved to be extremely effective, if not at the polling station than certainly as an inspiration to many who had never learned to voice opposing convictions unapologetically.

Bennett’s interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour was an example of the way he conducted himself time and again on Israeli TV and radio. But however bold Bennett was, he only opened a hatch compared to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who’s targeting of Yediot Acharonot publisher Arnon (Noni) Moses was like a shell cutting right through the city gate.

The following weeks were characterized by fervent social media discussions that showed just how effective was Bennett’s and Netanyahu’s open criticism of politicized journalism. The effect was also seen in the coming forward of prominent Israeli journalists who not only joined the general criticism of media bias, but dared to call out those of their colleagues who would stop at nothing to defame their political rivals.

A case in point was Channel 2 reporter Amit Segal, who tweeted something about Tel Aviv restaurants breaking the law that prohibits selling leaven during the week of Passover. The vicious journalistic attack that followed this insignificant tweet prompted Dror Ider from the daily Israel Hayom to write: “What’s happening in the last 24 hours (of April 9th) is a leftist attempt to take out a journalist who defies the Bolshevik tribal codes.”

Kalman Libeskind didn’t hold back either. Writing for Arutz Sheva he said: “For a long time we haven’t seen so much venom and poison. It is enough to see the collection of journalists who signaled with ‘Like’ [on Facebook] the filth that flies all over the Internet to understand that we are dealing with something which is much wider and deeper.”

Journalists like Segal, Ider and Libeskind are marking what could turn out to be a dramatic change in an Israeli media whose mono-colored worldview has for too long served to erode the Zionist vision of the Jewish state.

In what now seems to be a losing battle, the old socialist vanguard is wasting its remaining paper grenades in attempts to draw people back behind the imagined tribal barracks. They try to confine the battle to worn-out defense lines that supposedly demonstrate the “backwardness” of the East in the face of their “Western light.”

But the battle is no longer about a superior Ashkenazi culture against an inferior Sephardi one. It is not even about Left and Right. Though these issues continue to haunt our society, the real battle is actually over identity.

Today, the two opposing forces are placed on the Right and Left ends of the field for anachronistic reasons. In actuality, those who voted for the Right did so primarily because they believe the Jewish identity of Israel must not be compromised. Many of those who voted for the Left did so primarily because they think a Jewish state is an archaic and harmful notion.

The last elections and the media skirmishes that followed demonstrated that most Israeli Jews do not view Zionists as modern day Crusaders. Most of them think that Jewish sovereignty in the Holy Land is a historic right that must be protected at all costs.

“Hamas negotiates with the enemy with arms, not talks,” declares deputy Hamas leader – Ismail Haniyeh

Hamas deputy leader Ismail Haniyeh has declared that his movement would continue to use “armed resistance” against Israel, reports the Ma’an news agency.

“Hamas negotiates with the enemy with arms, not talks,” Haniyeh said during a press conference, held Thursday, in honor Palestinian Prisoner’s Day and the death of Hamas co-founder Abd al-Aziz al-Rantisi.

Al-Rantisi was killed by Israeli forces in 2004 along with his 27-year-old son, a body guard, and four bystanders in Gaza.

Hamas is committed to its principles and visions and prisoners will not be forgotten, Haniyeh added, according to Ma’an.

His remarks came after senior Hamas official Khalil al-Haya called for the abduction of Israelis, who would be used to release terrorists held by the Jewish state.

“We tell the Zionist enemy: you are all a target for us and the resistance, we will fight you until we finally get rid of you and take as many captives as possible to free our heroes,” he said.

“Our men, our women, our children all envision kidnapping your soldiers and settlers, wherever they are,” he added, “and it is our right because we have no other way to free our heroes, and it is the Zionist enemy responsible for this state of affairs.”

Haya said jailed terrorists should “rest assured” because terror groups led by Hamas’s military wing Al-Qassam Brigades “will release you as they did your brothers” in 2011.

The year refers to when Israel released 1,027 Arab terrorists, many with blood on their hands, is in return for captive soldier Gilad Shalit. Many of those terrorists immediately returned to murdering Israelis.

The Bible continually warns of a place called hell. There are over 162 references in the New Testament alone which warns of hell. And over 70 of these references were uttered by the Lord Jesus Christ!

In Luke 16, Jesus Christ gives a frightening picture of hell:
22 . . . the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. (Luke 16:22-28)

The man in Luke 16:24 cries: “. . .I am tormented in this FLAME.”
In Matthew 13:42, Jesus says: “And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
In Matthew 25:41, Jesus says: “Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting FIRE,. . .”
Revelation 20:15 says, ” And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE.”

When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He descended into hell. In Acts 2, Peter is speaking, verse 31, ” . . . seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in HELL”
When Jesus Christ died His soul went into hell.

And in Matthew 12:40, Jesus Christ says:
“For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly: so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the HEART OF THE EARTH. ”

The Bible is clear — Hell is inside the earth!
Ephesians 4:9, says of Jesus: “Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the LOWER PARTS OF THE EARTH.”
Scientist and Bible teacher, the late Henry Morris also agrees the Bible plainly teaches that hell is in this earth:
“So far as we can tell from Scripture, the present hell, is somewhere in the heart of the earth itself. It is also called ‘the pit’ (Isaiah 14:9, 15: Ezekiel 32:18-21) and ‘the abyss’ (Revelation 9:2). . .
The writers certainly themselves believed hell to be real and geographically ‘beneath’ the earth’s surface. . .

To say this is not scientific is to assume science knows much more about the earth’s interior than is actually the case. The great ‘pit’ [hell] would only need to be about 100 miles or less in diameter to contain, with much room to spare, all the forty billion or so people who have ever lived, assuming their ‘spiritual’ bodies are the same size as their physical bodies.” (Henry M. Morris, The Bible Has the Answer, p. 220)

The Birmingham News, April 10, 1987 had an article entitled “Earth’s Center Hotter Than Sun’s Surface, Scientists Say”. The article stated that scientists have recently discovered, “THE EARTH’S INNER CORE HAS A TEMPERATURE OF OVER 12,000 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT!”

Have you seen pictures of a volcano erupting, spewing a lake of fire from inside the earth — consuming everything within miles just from the heat? When Mount St. Helens erupted on May 18, 1980, it was described by reporters, “when HELL surfaced upon the earth.” The book, Volcanoes, Earth’s Awakening (p.91) describes an erupting volcano as “descent into HELL”.

Thousands of years ago, the Bible described a place called hell in the heart of the earth that matches exactly what science is discovering.

In Numbers 16, the Bible gives the account of people falling into hell alive! “And THE EARTH OPENED HER MOUTH, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive INTO THE PIT, and the EARTH CLOSED UPON THEM:” Numbers 16:32-33

Inside this earth, this very moment, there are millions of lost, tormented souls — burning, weeping, wailing — without any hope whatsoever!
In Mark 9:46, Jesus Christ says about hell: “Where THEIR WORM dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”

Jesus said explicitly — THEIR worm — not a worm, or the worm — but THEIR worm. The Bible teaches that Christians will one day have a body like the Lord Jesus Christ. Could it be, as some Bible students teach — that men and women in hell take on the form of their father, Satan (John 8:44)? In Revelation 12:3, Satan is described as a red dragon. Could Jesus Christ be referring to the body lost men and women will have for eternity?

The earth’s crust on land is normally 50 miles thick. You’d have to go down 50 miles before the edge of the fire. But in parts of the ocean floor, the earth’s crust is less than a mile thick.

Scientists recently discovered cracks on the ocean floor where fire was leaking out. Do you know what they found around these fire-breathing vents in the crust? Eight-foot long worms, found no other place in the world! The book, The Deep Sea, by Joseph Wallace (p.39), reads, “Perhaps the strangest of ocean creatures recently discovered are Riftia, the giant tube WORMS. Measuring up to 8 feet in length, the worms are ONLY FOUND NEAR DEEP SEA VENTS.”

And Jesus Christ said, “Where THEIR WORM dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”

Have you read Isaiah 66 where the Lord Jesus Christ is quoting Mark 9:46?
Look at the context and time period of Isaiah 66:22-24:
22 “For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.”
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

The “new heavens and new earth” of Isaiah 66:22 matches Revelation 21:1. This occurs AFTER the Great White Throne Judgment of Revelation 20:10-15! The references to “carcases”; “their worm”; “their fire” (v. 24) — is AFTER the Great White Throne Judgment of the LOST people! The reference to “. . the men that have transgressed. . .” are the LOST people AFTER the Great White Throne Judgment.”

And at this point — they have received their NEW BODY! Notice what Isaiah says, the saved people shall “LOOK upon the CARCASES of the men that have transgressed. . .” It’s worth mentioning that a “carcase” is not always a “DEAD body”. For instance, two times the Bible specifically uses the term “dead carcase” (Deuteronomy 14:8 and Ezekiel 6:5). If a carcase is ALWAYS a “dead” body, then why say “dead” carcase? And there’s NOTHING in the context of Isaiah to imply these “men that transgressed” are “dead”.

In fact, Isaiah clearly says, “their worm shall NOT DIE”. Even in our language, we refer to a living body as a “carcase”. For example, “Get your carcase [body] in here”. Why is that important? Because when the saved people in Isaiah 66:24 are “looking upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed” — And do you know what they are SEEING? “Their worm”! The “carcase” they are seeing is “their WORM that shall not die”. The end of Isaiah 66:24 is a frightening endorsement of this interpretation. What the saved people are viewing Isaiah says is , “. . . an abhorring unto all flesh”. And my friend, that is not JUST a normal flesh body they are looking at! It is something that will send chills screaming through your soul at the horror. And it will happen!
And it will happen TO YOU if you die without the Lord Jesus Christ!

Even though the world tries to extinguish the cries and reality of hell — the truth of hell echoes throughout our world. We desperately pretend to cover our ears and ignore the “screams, the weeping, the wailing, the gnashing of teeth” but it is there. . . And we know it. We refuse to accept such a place exists. But it is there. And we know it. Nothing we can do, nothing we can say, can erase the horror of hell from our minds.
It is there. And we know it!
