FATAH JOINS HAMAS?

Up to the point of the recent elections in the Palestinian “occupied” territories, it seemed that Fatah (what was the ruling party with Mahmoud Abbas as its leader) was in opposition to Hamas (who won the majority of seats and now controls the Parliament and the Palestinian Arabs). After all, they had some serious clashes already over their disagreements with how things should be done. The corruption in the Palestinian Authority is well known and documented, and Hamas emphasized that matter over and over again in the days before the election on January 25, 2006.

The USA under President Bush and Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice has withdrawn its support and withheld its monies and insists it will not work with HAMAS until they renounce terror and recognize the sovereign State of Israel which they have refused to do. Even the European Union is withholding support over this issue. In the meantime, Saudi Arabia has offered to give $100 million to the Palestinians to hold them over while things are being worked out.

Now we learn that FATAH is fighting back (so to speak) and saying what HAMAS has said and more. They are now calling for a Palestinian State from the Dead Sea to the Mediterranean! In case you were not aware of it – this would completely eliminate Israel! They are promising all-out attacks on the Israelis and intend to drive them into the Mediterranean if they do not get out of the entire land! Everything we predicted would happen is happening! The situation grows more tense each day. What will Israel do? The former Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, intends to stop this unbelievable policy that the current government has pursued. He will run his campaign on the platform of putting a stop to the terrorism and the ridiculous plans to remove Jewish families out of the Biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria. The problem he has is that several of the Likud Party (of which he is the leader) members have left to join Kadima, the new Party of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon (still in a coma) that is now led by former Jerusalem Mayor, Ehud Olmert.

The whole situation needs prayer! Pray that the leaders in Israel will return to the God of the Bible and give absolute loyalty and commitment to His covenant (everlasting and unconditional) that gave the land to them in the first place!

More later.
